The northern wheatear is still present showing well at 4000 Milton Road.
Directions : from Ottawa take hwy 417 east to exit 96 Carlsbad springs and
north to Russell road. Turn east on Russell and follow to Milton road turn
north and follow to 4000 Milton road.

The wheatear is still present at 4000 Milton road spending much of its time
perched on the wooden fence posts.
There are three horses in the field. Starting to rain.

Hello Ontbirders
I just received photos for identification and the bird in question turned out
of a Northern Wheatear. It was photographed on Petrie Island, just east of
Ottawa on October 16, 2010. I have no further information but I'm sure someone
will be out tomorrow morning checking for

A NORTHERN WHEATEAR was discovered today, Oct. 19, at the Nepean Sailing
Club (a.k.a. Dick Bell Park) along the Ottawa River. It was reported to Bob
Cermak by a birder from the U.S. who he happened to encounter at Andrew
Haydon Park. Bob saw the bird @ 2:30 pm and
