I wasn't going to weigh in on this volume control thing as it probably is
fouled up from so much advice, some of it good and some of it not so good.
The "Sticky keys" sounds come from the PC speaker.
The best way to get out of narrator is alt plus F4 because tabbing around to
the taskbar and tr
laying it's own
dialogue...
Stay well

I've been following this thread, and I need some clarification
Jacob
if I'm not mistaken, those sounds come from the pc speaker not the sound

so in this instance it wouldn't help.

Hi Patricia,

Hi Patricia,
Not sure if you saw my response on the Jaws list, so here it is.
do you get windows sounds, and/or Narrator to come up when you activate it?
If you do, this may be a Jaws issue, and not necessarily a system volume
problem like that other person suggested.
If you aren't getting any
**I posted this first on the Jaws users list and this guy has told me to
type at the run box, sndvol32 and enter.
then he said to tab 2 times and press the spacebar to uncheck the mute
button. I have tried this and it has not worked. He has now suggested I do
