That is an interesting spot. I wonder what effect abundant rain and water flow
might have had on this spot that perhaps made it more attractive and lured them
there.

FOY 6 great egrets for me yesterday at Tschache Pool at Montezuma NWR! They
were flying as a group, to the north.

Yesterday, while scanning the lake from the Wells College Boathouse, I saw
two white egrets flying south, down the lake. Unfortunately, they were too
far away for me to get an ID, although I suspect they were Great Egrets.
Has anyone seen any egrets in the basin this year?
