Introducing
n engineering starts to face as they
get experienced, part of the problem becomes finding companies that
won't dismiss you out-of-hand because they're unwilling to pay for your
skill, they just want some 20-something relative newbie.

More specifically, use OpenOffice to manage your documents and export them as
PDF / DOC as needed.

You might also try the forums on WebHostingForums.com, there are often
job advertisements there.

she loved it :) You should be able to find it in stores for $10 or
less.

Mavis can be had for as little as $5 in the bargain bins in most
electronics stores. Of course she doesn't like it when I say it like
that, she feels belittled.

OK, I'll bite. Why would you *not* use standard CFML tags for the
purpose they fullfill?

The Java code at one of my first real jobs was an abomination, utter
drivel, so I'd have to disagree
ll have yet
to finish my bachelor's degree (though I did pick up an Associate of
Science degree along the way).
Research, research, research, as my father-in-law says "proper prior
planning prevents p### poor performance".

How did you know it was RHT? ;-)
I ended up getting the job though, they were happy enough with my
background and test results, and I got on well with the hiring manager.

I can't imagine ever using it myself, it doesn't take that much effort
to do what it does manually and better.
CFGRID - for when you are 100% lazy, or hate life.
As for certifications, I need to see if my manager will spring for one

I took a test in February of 2004 in PHP and CFML. I scored a mid-80's
on the PHP and a low 70's in the CFML. The reason for this was that the
CFML test used CFGRID a good deal, and I'd never used this tag as it
wasn't in the book I used to learn CFML X-) Go figure.

Personally, I work during the day for a company that supplies a health

and it should be up to that person to decide how
much the new hire is paid depending on the skills needed for the job,
not personality match with the HR person.
No offense intended to anyone here, just a general annoyance.
