The Tuesday birders found two Common Redpoll at Prospect Park in Wheatridge,
Jefferson County today. ID photos available. Just past the bridge approximately
200 yards on west side by the birch/alder catkins.

Sunday we saw a Ash-throated flycatcher and a group of Chipping sparrows
between the bridge and the banding station. Could not find the earlier find of
the Hooded Warbler.

Yep, Bob Brown, that is what the Pomarine was doing. We saw the struggle as
the gull tried get away from the Pomarine. It didn't have a chance.
Fascinating to watch. Very unexpected. We figured a RBgull is only 6 oz
smaller.
