I googled 'ipod killer' and on the first page alone I found references
dating back to 2004. The ipod killer comment has been used by just about
every publication writing about just about every mp3 player. Those using it
for a zune used it for everything else coming along also.

I can recognize it easily. I won't however, pay for the Jobs Retirement
Portfolio price premium to own it. Not all of us need to *buy* cool and the
smarter ones realize that being an early adopter is rarely a net positive.
I paid half that, and without a 2-year contract, for a handhled navigatio
