I realize that this is really an RPM issue, but I am wondering if it is

Many shells will kill all their children when they exit. See if your shell
supports the "disown" command. If so, disown any children you want to

bus errors are often caused by alignment errors. e.g. on certain
machines, 32bit integers

No, you've only moved it to the background, it is still attached to the
terminal that you executed it from.

Why is it that netscape keeps crashing with a bus error? I thought bus
errors were because of hardware problems and to my knowledge none of my
hardware is bad.
Any ideas?

Hi,
The kibitz script from the expect-5.28-16mdk package should be set to
executable.
Also, if I type "netscape &" from a Gnome-terminal, why is netscape closed
when I close the terminal? Shouldn't it stay up?

Anyways, K6, i486, and i686 should be supportable in the spec file.

An egcs issue with rpmrc...
egcs definitely does not like the standard RPM_OPT_FLAGS for the 2.95.2

So far, the first package I've encountered for a rebuild with these is

Congratulations to the AIR team, Mandrake Linux 7.0 really does all it said
it would!
Personal Good Points :-
1) GFCC on the CD - IPChains has never been sooo easy
2) ISDN Support in the kernel (not just with packages) The installation even
includes ifcfg-ippp0 AND ifcfg-isdn
3) DrakeCONF is real

Let's start from scratch, what is /sbin/ifconfig giving and /sbin/route?
What is your network config? Fixed IP with a DNS server apparently?
in that case you could try:
# ifconfig eth0 your.fixed.IP.number netmask there.your.net.mask broadcast
your.favorite.broadcast.number
#route add default
is air.iso still the new newest version?
I saw mandrake 7.0 in the mandrake iso directory, is this the final release to
be shipped in february.
