This card hasn't worked for me since drake 6.2. Has worked in the last few Red Hats, including wolverine (7.1beta). I always get an insmod error on install attempt.
On another note 8.0beta3 is very good!
Any ideas on the eth card?Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
7.2b3 on an AMD machine that had no probs on 7.1:
1. Attempt to install additional rpm's failed because installer only looked
to an "RPMS2" directory on CD when there was only "RPM" directory. Manual
RPM install was OK so this was just annoying.
2. KDE seizes up frequently. Can still move
yes, installshield type of program. i know this is not 100% poss. at this
stage due to the variety of installation procedures.
i suppose the program's scope could be expanded to incorporate the ability
to install .tar's (.tar.gz), .rpm's, .deb's and .tgz's, or it could serve
as a wrapper for
just ftp'd last night from sunsite.uio.no and had excatly the same results.

Subject: [Cooker] Auto install missing step?

Hi,
Just completed
tried again to install via ftp, well actually http to nebsllc.com. install
broke with a connection error about 10% in to package installation. rpmfind
install also busted. did a ctrl-alt-bksp to get out of gui install, and
there was a get error, something like "couldn't get pwuid, error in
I have tried to install via ftp several times, using rpmfind.net. each
time, the installer "fails to find" certain random packages. so for
example, i get to the point in the install where packages are being
downloaded, and get an error "package VIM-x.x.xx could not be downloaded,

Noticed that rpmfind reflects a number of updated files. Is this part of
the next cooker, or are these remedial updates to 7.0?

I also can't install from either the .iso, or from a FTP mirror. I get to
"intering 2nd stage install" and then get either nothing further or a
"signal 9 error, exiting install".
My install source is sitting on a FAT32 partition (target is seperate
drive). I assume this does not matter, as
Is it just me, or have numerous RPMs disappeared from rpmfind.net? I have
tried for several days to pull down the complete beta with no success, as I
keep getting "file not found" errors. I was about 100 files away from
complete download when (e.g. xmms*.rpm) suddenly disappeared.
Can

Subject: [Cooker] Pulling down oxygen from rpmfind.net

http://rpmfind.net/linux/Mandrake/7.0/
seems to be more complete than the old /MandrakeCooker/oxygen, but I have no
real confidence in it (seems to lack some rpm's but perhaps these were
pulled on purpose?). Is there not really a stable unstable (ie beta)
release?
