e XFSVGA server has changed as it didn't recognise an
i810 onboard video card for a while... while 7.0 worked OK. Does the Generic
SVGA work ok?

One of the things I love about the linux community - I find a binary on a
no-namer distro, mention it on a ML and three people know exactly where to
find the source and home page. I think this other distro has tried to
anonymise as much as the non core interface as much as possible. I had the

I'll probably think of some more things, but these are what I think make
other distributions easier to install and configure than Mandrake 7.1beta1 &
beta2. Extend and Embrace(MS TM) works both ways :-)

The Midnight Commander (mc) has changed it's handling of RPMs since 7.0.
I regularly use mc to check out RPM directory structures and also extract
files.
Now, the install, upgrade, header and scripts are all I see.

Most 3D capable AGP cards require it for their XF4 driver, eg i810/820
and nVidia (the two I'm most interested in :-)

even copied across the libMatroxGL.so.3.2 from Quake3, and added the Load
"glx.so" in the modules section of XF86config...

I'd like to see 0.1 numbering, so that the final is always a higher number.
Our mail package goes 3.2b1, 3.2b2 3.2b9, and finally 3.2 as the
release. It creates problems when our scripts automatically download the
latest version.
