ISO was d/l'd from) froze at the same point, every linux burned CD worked
without a hitch. Please verify and post any further information.

Axalon,
I have the same CORE file. Here's the output of "file core #"
core: ELF 32-bit LSB core file of 'kioslave' (signal 11), Intel 80386,
version 1
Kioslave is crashing???

David,
A - I don't know how to perform a backtrace
B - The core file has been there since I installed Mandrake 7.0 and logged in
the first time
If you can kinda lead me by the hand a bit, I can possibly help. :) See, I'm a
networking guy, not a programmer.

printerdrake do it right??? I had to install the printtool RPM
from my MDK6.1 CD. This actually worked. You should look into this
problem. I am available for questions or remote access to my box. If you
like, I can even open up for remote X sessions. Please contact me for
further information.

Gael,
That package from the Mandrake 7.0 distro actually installs the
PrinterDrake tool, and not the RH printtool (The TCL/TK one). This is the
way I noticed it at least.

Gael,
Now it has the TCL/TK printtool, but before it was the
PrinterDrake proggy. I installed the printtool from Mandrake 6.1 with a

rpm to see.

I have just noticed that the mod_php package is dependent on
Postgres. This isn't optimal considering that some people (Like
me!!) don't use postgres, but do use PHP. Is this intentional or is this a
bug?

Hallo,
On Saturday I d/l'd the ISO from linuxberg, and installed it on my
Toshiba 2595CDT laptop. The ESS Maestro sound card worked (To my great
astonishment), but after d/l'ing the latest packages and creating an
updated ISO, the sound no longer loads. Any ideas?

The kernel version is 2.2.13-1mdklinus, but I looked in the
/lib/modules/2.2.14-11mdk/misc directory as well, and I didn't see the
module there either.

Thanks!!!
How do I perform the install in a manner that will allow me to install the
2.2.14 patched kernel as my default?
Why wouldn't this be an option in the Mandrake install? I understand this
isn't a stable kernel release, but you could put put an option during the
install for whick kernel couldn't you?
