New im-switch 1.1 uses 'Recommends: xfree86-common' instead of
'Depends: xfree86-common', so I think im-switcher becomes more
acceptable for uim.
P.S. 2
Each configuration files replace ~/.uim.
If you think using UIM_IM_ENGINE is better, I'll try to make a patch again.

AFAIK gjiten, konqueror, and mozilla uses Xft, means to use TrueType
font. X bitmap fonts (xfonts-*) aren't used by them.

Hmm, is this log from sample page output?
Could you try:
$ /usr/lib/cups/filter/p
ppd,
foomatic-db-hpijs, etc.), so how about other PPD?
Because cupsys only provides interface, I think this problem is from PPD or
Ghostscript. HP PCL 6 driver file isn't cupsys's, but gs-esp's.

now, gs-esp's PDF conversion is far from perfect, and it
is too hard to modify pdftops for using gs-esp.
Furthermore gs-esp needs many packages than xpdf-utils :-)
