I can confirm this bug has been around for a long time (at least since
8.28). I suspect it to be related to the infamous "Xorg hangs when
logging out" (a.o. 418338, 400743, 402375, and 345040), which has been
plagueing us for nearly two years now. Sigh[1].

for Debian.
I have filed an ITP for ta-lib[1] and am working on it. Once ta-lib
gets accepted into Debian, qtstalker 0.34 can follow.
