I have one SIP account configured. If somebody calls
me, I hear the ringtone, but there seems to be no
possibility to accept the call. No Shell notification
or a button in the Empathy window (contact list, etc.).
Or is
I have similar needs as Martin. Want my system to speak English with whatever
local flavor I like.
It would be great, if this could be set at installation and afterwards.

I'm running Debian Testing (up-to-date) on both, the vm and the host. During
the start, there is no problem. But from time to time (every 10 minutes or so),
the GUI hangs. And in a way, that the Gnome 3 (Gnome Shell) desktop is also
badly affected. It still runs, but I can no longer switch

I can not establish a audio/video chat with any of my contacts (Gmail and
others). Most of them use Pidgin. The error message is:

It certainly should not affect the Ethernet adapter.
I recommend that you do not use the acpi_osi=Linux parameter. Please
report the problem with eeepc-laptop at http://bugzilla.kernel.org,
under product 'ACPI', component 'Platform Drivers'. Let us know the bug
number so that we can track

Or even was it working before or with some other live distribution?
Multitouch works on the 1005ha with the pre installed Windows 7.

Bluetooth seems to work with the current 2.6.32 from testing. Still no kill
switch, but this seems to be an issue of eeepc-laptop not getting loaded
properly.

it looks similar to amixer. Which driver version are you running?

It is 1.0.21.
or run at least 1.0.21 provided from kernel 2.6.32. This version
