Hi,
I'd like to ressurest #600647. It would really be nice to document

$ sudo debootstrap lenny ./lenny-chroot

I'll re-upload VXL this week. I've missed an old patch which prevented
this conflict.
Sorry about that.

This issue makes mips* compilation fails [1], see:
https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=vxl&arch=mips&ver=1.17.0-3&stamp=1369190209
However the compilation error does not make any sense, indeed:
$ cd obj-x86_64-linux-gnu
$ grep -r
_ZN16bwm_obs
While I understand and agree mostly with #709657, I do not understand
why this would be considered a blocker. serna-free has never
transitioned to testing ever.
I'd like to keep serna-free in sid at least for a couple of months and
see if anyone start a fork. This is a very neat tool when editing

This was easier for me to maintain.
Let me know if this is a debian policy violation, or what os needed to
make this clear.

Ok here is the summary.
In order to build the VTK-GDCM extension, GDCM needs a pre-installed
copy of VTK on the target machine. In this case a VTK 5.4 compiled
against python2.5 was found.
When building the VTK-GDCM extension, GDCM does not do anything bug
simply pass
