Seems to have only affected 2.12.1-2, not the reported 2.12.1-1.
Anyway, a binNMU has been queued to fix this on i386, so should be
available in the next day or so.
Any word on this? It's been 4 days an
package in the meantime would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Package: linux-image-2.6.15-1-k7
Version: 2.6.15-6
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks the whole system
Ran an aptitude update - linux-image-2.6.15-1-k7 updated.
Rebooted as advised (since it's the same version as the running kernel
under update).
During boot it states that it can't find /
ide-generic) and a via file (which talks about a via southbridge)

qgis is currently uninstallable in unstable, apparently for the same
reason: libgdal1c2a, which is no longer available, is specified as
a dependancy. This package is apparently replaced by libgdal1-1.3.1,
which *is* currently present in unstable. Apparent

This bug was marked fixed and closed four months ago; but the version
which fixes the bug is not in unstable and never made it to testing.
The versions in both testing and unstable remain unusuable; this b

Manual upgrade of the package fails with the "installation failed"

The problem is that "mksymlink" returns -1 if ther

The version of xfonts-scalable (>= 1:1.0.0-1) needed by package xorg
is unavailable. I'm used to waiting for newer dependencies for new
packages, but this has remained unsatisfied for some time now. I want
to make sure nothing was overlooked.
