From today I'm facing lockscreen animation glitch.
When I enter users password and hit Enter, lockscreen animation stay 0.5 sec on
half a screen.

After some browsing it turns out this is not really a bug, but shall we
say a "security feature".
There is this pklocalauthority stuff (see man page) that basically makes
authorization things more complex, and to me, not logical. See

Same here... I have started with 14.04LTS and I could reach a Win2008

Open nautilus and press some letter keys. The letters will appear in the
lower right corner(just like in the screenshot).Until you delete those
letters you cant close the window.It's not a serious problem but it can be
annoying.

nautilus crashed with
same here too, but with difference, that this line is 9px and it's
placed at left and right borders of my screen. it will disappear only if
i killall nautilus, or of course if i log out.

It's not from the adblock extension. I had this problem before enable it
and i think it is something wrong with libwebkit ot libjpeg/png, because
these are images. strange, this appears in chromium too, but not in
midori, hm.

The way gtk is handling trough-border is technically correct, but it is
incorrect from a usability viewpoint. One way to fix it is to change gtk's

I decided to try out my idea from comment #3. This is patch uses a hardcoded
value of 2, but that can easily be made configurable, as a murrine specific
option. With GtkRange::slider-width set to 18, it gives the same effect for the

i.e. how much space will be taken away from other applications. Although the 1

Hey Aaron,
i've just found the problem, it's coming from GDM, and to be more precise, when
it is being installed and set, it doesn't check the key in gconf to use
background in default!!!
/apps/gdm/settings-manager-plugins/background/active
and this key is set to FALSE by default ;)

As far, as i can remember it was 22.07.2009 or +- 1-2 days, ans i don't know
what can be causing this, even with new account, i think that is gtk+ problem

I can reproduce it. I believe that the gnome-panel somehow doesn't
trigger the unhide when the mouse reaches the end of the screen too
fast. I got this behaviour after an update to 8.04. The same pannel was
working fine in 7.10.
