I think this is relate to Bug #271258 , seems totally unrelated , for
more information see Bug #417824 .
I'm running a couple of tests with older kernels, will report back if
its related or not.

No , the update did not fix this problem.
The screensaver is inconsistent , sometimes the screensaver does *not*
activate and sometimes it activates .
Maybe this is related to devicekit-power bug [ i'm also facing Bug
#409834]

mac_v: after the latest round of gnome-power-manager updates, the
screensaver has started working again in Gnome sessions for me and for
the reporters on bug 397892. Can you confirm that it's started working
again for you? Thanks!
