Got printing to work.. after an hour or so of google'ing and tinkering

I looked into this more and did some research. There was a file in
~/.dbus/session-bus that was owned by root. I changed the ownership
to me and the error went away, and the program popped up. Below is what
I did:

I've run a few more tests since I wrote the e'mail and I appears that
there is something odd with these encoded southpark episodes. They peg
the CPU at 100% while playback under totem, but barely touch the CPU
with mplayer. However, play back of other files similarly encoded

I've been looking through the gnome-panel source and here is what I
understand at the moment:
The bug probably occurs in a file that has the following #include line:
#include "panel-gconf.h"
The file that seems most likely to have the offending bug is 'panel.c'

Confirmed on Jaunty. I am running on T61 laptop. At work with dual monitor and
at home with the laptop screen.
Switching between the two modes make the icons reoder in strange ways.
I had this ever since I started using ubuntu on 7.04.

I had this same problem but it looks like the "Commands" plugin in
CompizConfig Settings Manager (ccsm) was 1. responsible for activating
those settings and 2. disabled by default in Jaunty. Enabling that
plugin fixed things for me.

I had a look at Edit->Keyboard shortcuts in Gnome Terminal and noticed
that the paste key was bound to Super+e. This was the problem. When I
changed it to Ctrl+Shift+E, the e key worked fine again. Changing it to
Super+e broke it once again. Look like a genuine bug in Gnome Terminal.

I have a related problem where my font (Fontin) doesn't seem to work
with GtkEntry password entry; now it only shows the Yen symbol. This all
worked fine in Ubuntu 8.10

I also have this problem. It didn't happen immediately at upgrade to
Jaunty, but later. It might be related to installing the "Peace" theme.

After loading the program, the first time I "Save as" always works fine.
It's after I save one file, and try to "Save as" again that I get the
blank file chooser dialogue.

Ekiga
I gave up vinagre and came across Grdc. I think it should replace
vinagre. It's now in Ubuntu universal repository already, and the web
site is offering .deb download for the latest version. It supports color
depth and compress quality which vinagre doesn't have.
