I noticed something like this on my desktop system after upgrading. It
only seems to affect Wayland sessions (i.e. GDM login screen and Ubuntu
on Wayland). The mouse still works (i.e. desktop responds to clicks),
but no cursor is drawn. Everything seems fine on my laptop though.

I added `options snd-hda-intel dmic_detect=0`
at the end of /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
and after restarting the laptop I can now use the headphones and speakers.
Although I managed to fix this,

this very consistently. Whenever I have Pidgin focused and then switch

- open LibreOffice Writer

Quick update: the package updates from the proposed repository for
* libasound2-data,
* libasound2:amd64, and
* libasound2:i386
seemed to fixed the problems.
All affected USB headsets we use
* Logitech 960,
* SennHheiser PC8, and
* Plantronics Blackwire 3220
now are detected on every hot-plug.
As a workaround I'm currently doing rmmod btusb && modprobe btusb after
every boot which seem to do the magic. Attaching the dmesg for that just
in case.
