Hi,
I'm trying to get the itunesupdate plugin working.
My setup:
- W2K3 server running Slimserver 6.1.1 and iTunesUpdate 1.3.4
- Itunes runs on a Windows XP machine, but itunes library is stored on
the W2K3-server.
- Slimserver uses iTunes (works fine).
- iTunesUpdate Direct Updates are off.
Arjen,
Are you running the script on the machine with iTunes installed?

No, I'm running it on the same machine that runs Slimserver. All the
iTunes-data is stored there, but iTunes itself isn't installed on this
machine.

Ah.
You have to run the script on the machine with iTunes as it's going to
use COM to talk to it directly.

James,
Thanks for your prompt reply.
I see the problem, I will try to run it on the other machine.
This may mean that I have to rethink and rebuild the setup I've got.
The idea was to be able to run the SB2 from the server, without
depending on the itunes-box.

That should be fine.
Just make sure the iTunes Update history file is saved somewhere on the
server that the XP machine can access, then run the updates whenever you
have iTunes open or the XP machine on.
No updates while the XP box is off indeed, but all you'll be missing is
updating of the
Dave,
I agree with you - the NSLU2 is a lot smaller an investment to worry

How are you finding the performance of your NSLU2? I've set one up and

why not just get Music Magic and create the playlists dynamically from one
song. it's way easier and you may even find some hidden gems in your

So I have now opened the SB2 and yes, you can rotate the display and the

I poked around on the Shoutcast site to find as high a bitrate radio

but on my SB2,
can you post the URL to that station?

The FW to fix the issue didn't get a rev, so the SB didn't auto
