I was a Squeezebox user from the very start. I have love the devices and
have a ton of them. Alas, I am going to finally have to put them away
and pay attention to family and other stuff :p I have:

If you are conected digitally to a home theater reciever adjust the
volume to 100% otherwise it wont decode dts or ac3 encoded wav .

I use squeezer on my phone and have also duet. I much prefer using the
duet controller to the phone. Maybe I am just used to it, but it seems
much easier to navigate with the "hard" scroll wheel than a touch
screen, and I like the easy to find and use track forward/back and pause
keys. I do not

There are rumors floating around the XMFAN forums that on September 30
you will no longer be able to stream SiriusXM on Logitech devices like
Squeezebox Radio and Squeezebox Duet. Has anyone else heard this or
will Logitech be updating their firmware? Not sure if I posted this in
the right forum

Is it really WAV - could it be AIFF which is also PCM/lossless but has
different byte order which if played as WAV produces hiss.

1. Dont use VLC as a reference - vlc can play files where parts @ end,
the middle or the start is corupt or missing.

I strange issue I can't seem to find any previous posts on
I've got a 16 bit / 44.1 kHz .WAV file that just plays back as hiss /
white noise.
1. I can play other .WAV files without issue on my SBT.
2. This particular file plays fine on VLC.
What could the issue be?
