i can see the plugins folder etc and have goldrush installed as per
instructions and it works well.
trying to use announcement plugin which is just a perl script. where on
earth do i put it and how do i run it? can't find any info anywhere?

its squeeze centre 7 that i'm running. i've placed the script
announcement06.pl in the plugins directory and restarted but to no
avail.
anybody got this running under v7?

signals should overlap as little as possible (you can adjust power for
this) and overlapping channels should alternate eg 6, then 7, then 6,
then back to 6,7,6 etc
its worth checking what other buildings around you are chucking out.

for my kitchen, i'm looking for something that can be hidden eg on a
bracket or something like that fastened to the bottom of the kitchen
cupboards and sort of hidden by the plinth.
these will be connected to a hidden duet receiver.

a server running multiple os's, email,remote access, remote control for
the house, media etc is surely the way to go. throw your raided disks in
etc and you beat a nas anyday.
i'll be sticking with this route. i had a nas a long time ago and it's
redundant now due to
rver and your desktop from one pc. you can serve
up files over the internet, remote access anywhere in the world etc
etc.
raid is easy with them. backups is easy with them. so a nas? nah.....
to limited!

certainly don't
want next door's doing the same. competing channels degrade the signal
considerably. decreasing the power on the access point to avoid overlap
can also help.

s something in there that will jump it to
a certain position and play it next. eg move to top, move to position 5
etc instead of having to continually move the song up the playlist by
clicking.

i had the same problem. it occured after removing opera from my system.
i'm almost sure you have to do a regedit but can't for the life of me
