NO.
Read the bugzilla link, as it doesn't even need 'official clarification'
beyond what's there. It only mentions stopping devel efforts for older
'ip3k' hardware players. Officially, you get what you have now. This
doesn't preclude third party patches, at least for software-

Wow. The SB3 and transporter have been around for a while, but the
Boom, it feels like just yesterday it came out.
I hope they come out with a replacement for the Boom and don't rely on
the Radio. The Boom is an awesome product. It was a product that I
didn't realize I needed until it came out

It is not as dramatic as it looks the server will still support them but
no new things will be added to the firmware.
But as this are old "slim" devices almost everything is done by the
server anyway, so you won't notice in most cases.

I always thought the radio was in essence the boom 2.
With the alarm problems on the boom the developers have hinted there
was essentially no more room on the firmware to fix the alarm prob
