I too have noticed occasional auto rescans, even though I have turned
scheduled auto rescans "off" (which I confirmed, and the time if "on"
would be 10 am), in my settings. I now run SBS 7.5.3 but had the same
experience in 7.5.1. Yesterday I found the SBS rescanning my playlists

Which Squeezebox Server version ? I think the 7.6 beta performs
automatic rescans when a file in the music folder has been changed.

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't use MusicIP.
Anyway I guess it doesn't matter too much as long as it doesn't start
doing it too frequently. I was just a bit surprised that it happened
and wondered if there was some automated/scheduled scan facility that I
was not aware of.

If you're using MusicIP, changes there can trigger a SBS rescan, unless
you disable it.

I noticed my library got rescanned this morning but I had not requested
a rescan. What could have triggered this? I don't remember setting up
any regular automated scan (I wouldn't know how to without researching
it a bit) and even if I had, I would want it to happen during the night
and not at a
