Hi.
I'm having trouble accessing my squeezebox account through ipeng. I
enter the correct email and password, but it says invalid
email/password. It's definitely the correct information as I've
verified it multiple times on mysqueezebox.com.
I do not have my own server running--I just want
I assume your issue is fixed now?
Anyway, for others running into the same thing:
The password entry field on the MySB login page is NOT tagged as a
password field. This results in the password being shown AND (and this
can be an issue) the first letter is automatically capitalized.
So be
not connected on MySB means they are not connected directly to MySB,
but to your local server, which seems to be correct as of your
description.
You need iPeng to get to see your local server. Is that not listed on
the players screen?
Have you always had the issue or did it start after an
mnichollsuk,
I don't use iPeng (nothing against pippin, I have an irrational fear of
penguins) so I can't offer much guidance.
As pippin says, iPeng must see your servers (like a Controller) first
before it can control your players.
After that I'd guess the manual switch of players to both SBS
No, be careful, player and server handling in iPeng is a bit different,
iPeng doesn't strictly bind to one player like the Controller does, you
can, for example, switch more than one player at a time.
But let's find the players first...

Now THIS is confusing to me.
iPen CAN see your music and MySB is saying not connected AND iPeng is
saying no player found AND your players work?
Do you have more than one computer with Squeezebox server installed?
Can you see the players in your server's web interface?
When I say not directly

OK, your players are connected to your local server.
forget about MySB for a moment.
If you start iPeng and go to the players/servers page (swipe right on
NowPlaying), what do you see?
Can you really browse your albums? I mean: do you see more than the
list itself, can you go into an album, for

Ok, so even though the players were not listed in the players menu,
when i swipped right they appeared! I didnt know there was an option
to swipe right
You will be surprised: you can also swipe left which will get you to
the current playlist :)

Then you should be fine as 7.4 uses the standard www.MySqueezeBox.com
server.
There were DNS issues with NAS devices a few weeks back, you may want
to check the NAS forum here

Again, which player do you have?
Have you tried actually navigating the player itself (not from your
computer) to MySB?

I would suggest going on the internet with your favorite web browser to
mysqueezebox.com and log in. This will verify the log-in name and
password you're using for SqueezeCenter is the same as
mysqueezebox.com.
If you can log in, then I'm not sure what the issue is.

Confirmed, the username and password is correct
I have just created a new account with a different email address and
that doesnt work either
Which version of SBS are you running? 7.4 release? Or 7.5 beta?
Each points to a different MySB server.

Correct, toby10. I should have asked.
7.5: mysqueezebox.com gets redirected to test.squeezenetwork.com
7.4: not redirected, goes to mysqueezebox.com
