I have just purchased a Yamaha wx-010... Media Markt are knocking them out for €88 so I thought it was rude not to. Anyways I just set it up and within a few minutes had it working off the local server and integrated with lms. This plugin is fantastic, the fact I get perfect sync and gapless

Thanks! Reading the bit about the firewall in the readme file did help a lot... It's working now. If only Apple would decide that Airplay could support higher sampling/bit rates... Or if you would be interested in creating in a MusicCast bridge, that would be awesome too! :-) Best regards,

Good to know! Too bad that Airplay only supports 44.1khz... :-( I tried to get it working, but I can't get any sound out of my Yamaha CX-A5100. Airplay Bridge does however autodetect the receiver. I don't see any errors in the log file... Best regards, Dennis. ::Please vote::: '::bug 1330::

I just got done installing the UPnP/DNLA bridge plugin on LMS and it works pretty flawlessly to turn my Yamaha receiver with MusicCast into a squeezebox player. I can now leverage MusicIP and Spicefly to create dynamic and endless playlists instead of manually having to pick music with the

Musicast is on a complete different level than the old squeezebox stuff. Spotify connect is a big deal and the ability to combine both high end sound in your expensive rig (I am running a WCX-50 with digital out) with multi room everywhere is great.

That's interesting since Yamaha claims that the compatible firmware is available since the 20th of August... somewhere on their website or in their Press Release. I contacted their Support and will now wait what they reply.

I actually own a Yamaha RX-V679, but can't find out how to use MusicCast. I installed the app, but can't get past the press connect stage. I can hold the connect button on my Yamaha as long as I like, it doesn't do anything. Maybe I need newer firmware, but currently can't find any updates. What
