Hi Tom,
I helped myself by using an para with the role 'break'. My styles insert
a page-break after this. Not too nice if I change the layout, though. I
only use this, before I give a document to the printer.

In most cases, this doesn't look too good in the HTML versions, though.
A future release of the style was promised to offer an option for this.

Hi Tobias,
We use a hard page break that can be inserted wherever the author wants.
This will force the authors to set a role, but you are very flexible.

Hi Lee,
Can you make any suggestions as to the needed machinery? We don't need
to much automation, say 2-3 books a day will be sufficient. We have very
good laser printers at our university and could print the pages and the
cover there.
The finished product should be a real book and all I managed t
Framemaker can import DocBook. So you could write it in DocBook and do
the final layout with that. You would probably need a week to learn how
to use Framemaker, though.
Just another idea we were playing around with.

Hallo Peter,
You can find a German tutorial here, which will certainly help you:

We (three students) are currently writing our diploma thesises in

I have added a chapter to my tutorial. It is in German, though.

Hi list,
I need to enforce a fixed order for the bibliography entries. The
current style just uses the order of the author.
I have just tried that and I can do it. However, it would be easier if
somebody already has this? Otherwise I will employ the rules of the
"Chicago Manual of Style".

Hi, I used to have exercise and solution elements in with a DTD we
developed at my university for Tutorials.
I could write an exercise with or without solution as well as some
exercises with the same solution. I then developed a style sheet to
create documents with the exercises displayed in the t
Hi list,
I want to adapt the default style to generate output specific to my
needs. Of course I don't want to adapt the originals and merge everytime
a new release is published.
So, as I suppose this is quite common, how do you go about it?
Stephan
Hi list,
I solved the problem with y programlisting, which got aligned right in
the PDF output.
I just added 'text-align="left"' in the fo/verbatim.xsl like below. This
works for me with FOP.

Hi Robert,
You can use any tool that can transform (at least) one of the default
styles.
A example in Java is:

You can type in your favorite editor and view the transformed PDF/HTML
in your favorite viewer...

Hi I try to figure out how to reference a biblioentry from the text.
I understand that a biblio set can be generated like this:
Walsh97
. . .
This would create something like the folllowing:
[Walsh97] XML: Principles, Tools, and Techniques. & Associates, Inc..
