Any suggestions?

Sorry about this, but I have made a mistake and dc.description is actually
indexed. Still, the problem remains because you can only search it via the
generic search ("ANY"), and specific search yields the correct results (as I
said, in titles, for example).
Thanks and sorry again.

Hi,
I'm still trying to solve our problem regarding the Cocoon
action that logs accesses to a database table. After more tests and a

Hello all,
We have recently analyzed the logs in our Dspace instance
and noticed a distinct behaviour of some IPs. I searched the mail-list
and found out that some people had the same problem: a certain IP
downloading the same bitstream over and over in a certain period. While

is apparently not used at all.
In cocoon.xconf the transient-store (which from what I read
defines the Cocoon cache) is set to 1, along with the normal store.
I would like to know if anyone has any advice regarding this?
Thanks,
Raf
Hi,
We're using Dspace 1.4.2 with the Lucene that's shipped with it.
We don't know if it's a matter of configuration (apparently not)
but Dspace (or Lucene) is removing (common) suffixes from words before
searching.
For example (removing "ações")

Hi,
A few weeks ago I sent an email asking about updating LDAP
fields when the user logged in. I've tried modifying the "authenticate"
method in LDAPAuthentication.java, with no success. What I've tried:
- if ldap.ldapAuthenticate returns on success, there's the

Hi,
We've been using Dspace with LDAP for some time, but just
recently we noticed that we need to synchronize the fields, that is, if
someone changes their email outside Dspace, it won't be reflected in
Dspace.
Has anyone solved this issue?
Thanks,
Hi,
We are having some issues with our Dspace instance regarding email encoding
(config/email templates).
The templates have characters such as "ê", "ç" and "~", and when they are sent,
it's all messed up. In the email body the characters are replaced by "?" but

Hi,
I don't know if it's known and/or fixed though patches, but I noticed
in our DSpace+Manakin instance that, when you search something, browse through
the result pages, then try searching for a new term, the new term is overridden
by the old one. That is, when I search for "car", go t
Hi,
We're having some problems regarding the i18n tags. It appears that
some users acessing our repository are getting the keys and not the message. It
seems that this behaviour is not linked to a specific browser/version, as in my

Hi
Sorry if it's been asked many times, but I've searched the archives and
the only possible solution to our problem didn't work at all.
We have DSpace (modified 1.5 alpha 1) running with Manakin and we're
getting serious performance issues accessing the "Browse by" pages. I trie
Hi,
We are having some problems regarding LDAP authentication with Dspace +
Manakin. Whenever someone access the repository, it's given Special Group
authorization automatically. The user doesn't need to login or browse through
the repository, he will be granted access to any non-author

Thanks,
