Looks like our small, insignificant, High Point (North Carolina) Amateur
Radio Club (W4UA) made the top 20 in our category.
A few guys, a few radios, including K2 #7006, and a few pieces of wire are
#13 in the 3A Commercial category.

My field day plans got scrambled, but I got on the air after all and it was
fun.
Fifty QSOs, fifty states. 49 of them were with my K3; I left MO for last,
and called CQ FD with my 2M HT to work a local guy for the final contact.
First time I've called CQ in a contest for more than 50 years.
In so
K2/100 # 7006 (and me) participated in our first Field day this weekend.
Everything worked flawlessly. I was working a 120-foot doublet fed with
ladder line with a tuner at the base, also the first time out for this
antenna.
If you have W4UA in your field day log on either 75m or 15m, then y
Steve,
You should be able to balance the wattmeter bridge even if the ADC
inputs to U1 are damaged open - if they are damaged in a shorted
condition, yes they would interfere with the balance adjustment.
I suggest that you try rotating the pots to the full CCW position and
then attempt to bala
Happened to me. Had to buy new output transistors. They included several
other parts I needed to replace. There was talk about providing matched
output devices and I was to get a set. But it never happened. Anyway was only
about $15.00+ fix.. 72 Geo/w2bpi

K2 #771, the world's most experienced Elecraft, popped D1 and D2 on the
KAT2. I fear that it also took out the two ADC inputs on U1. CALn does not
work after replacing the diodes. The reading is very noisy. There is also
not any power control which could mean something else is also fried. Anyo
Well this was my first contest with the K2 at field day with the 100 watt
module. I was really surpised at how cool it ran.
we ran 990 q's on CW only and the heatsink never even got warm. And that was
with us calling the whole time. Got lots of complements on Reciever
performance. And of course
Just want to say thanks to all you folks that played in Field Day.
My K2 worked great and worked almost anybody I could hear with my 5 watts
and G5RV.
That 5 watts sure did great but cq'ing was a bit slow for sure.
I had a tent in the woods and the rain made it a little `yucky but after 5
