[expert] Netscape+Java: the solution

for those of you, like me, who had problems running Java from Netscape, the solution is in the RedHat Knowledge base. For Mandrake here's the solution: edit /etc/X11/fs/config and add a line like this one: /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi (don't forget the "," depending on where exactly you put

[expert] Problems probing for the mouse

I'm trying to install Mandrake 6 on a laptop but it crashes every time at the mouse probing stage. It says 'probing found some type of PS/2 on port ps aux' then hangs and can only be restarted with a hard reset. The same cd has been used to install M6 on 3 or 4 other machines. RedHat 5.1 and

Hi Bob, Thanks for replying ... I've got an internal touch pad which is disabled when you plug in an external mouse. I have the same problem if I use the touchpad, or try my logitech 3 button mouse (or try no mouse by turning it off in the BIOS). It hangs when it probes for a mouse, so you
