Hello everybody, is it possible to run the Firebird DDEX Provider V3.0.1 with Visual Studio Express 2013 for Windows Desktop or with the Community Edition of Visual Studio 2013? Thanks for any advise, Ralf

Thanks Ann. So I now know I had no good idea with the network share :-) I thought it possible because I read that firebird embedded is at most the same engine as the firebird server. But obviously I didn't thought about such implications. Thanks to all who took time to help me, Ralf

Hi all, I am actually using firebird embedded V2.5.3 successfully on Windows 7. I found that I can only open database files which are saved on the local PC. Is there a way to open a databse file on a network share with firebird embedded? What has the connectring to look like? Greetings and
