Hi Pat-
The AVID microchip brand is an A on top of a V. This could be that brand --
you'd want to have your vet scan for chips to be sure.

I have to say that I had NO confusion when I saw the title of the NFHR book.
The titles ARE different! I think most of us are intelligent enough to realize
that the NFHR would not be selling your $36.95 book for $5.00.

The brand on the horse is actually a K on the left shoulder and in addition
there is a V on the RIGHT rear hip which I didn't see before. He was
purchased out of a place called EJ's Equestrian Center in Turlock. He is
