FM can't import specific reference pages; it's all or none from the
source file. However, you can create uniquely-named reference pages in
the utility file and delete any reference pages that you don't want
the import process to replace.

If the PDF was made using Mac's Preview application, this could be the problem;
check document info for Creator.
If you get the same error when trying to Save As with all documents,

File menu; Open becomes Open All Files in Book. Dismiss every missing
font message. With all files now open, you can update the book.
