Hello everyone,
I am looking for a contact from AIVF such as DeeDee Halleck. I want to reprint
an article from their magazine in 1976 and I don’t know who to ask permission.
Would anyone have a contact for me?
Thanks!

There might be some information in the archives of the New York Filmmakers Coop.

Hi Esperanza,
it’s not automatic, you would have to write to Andrea Picard.

Hi everyone,
I am forwarding an interesting question from the Labos list. Maybe someone here
has an answer?

Hi Joel,
The Film Gallery in Paris is devoted to showcasing experimental filmmakers,
though actual screening events are sporadic.

Maybe Mono No Aware hosts this kind of screening?

All good advice, and if worse comes to worse, just put the sound level as low
as possible and amplify it comfortably, it usually works ok. I sometimes use a

These cartridges use double 8mm. Inside the cartridge is double perf 16mm film
with twice as many perforations as usual. You shoot 25 feet on one side and
then flip it over and shoot the second half on the same strip of film. After

Hi Kornelia,
Thank you for your replies! I really can’t think of many horror films in
American experimental films of the 1960s and 1970s and the ones involving
sexuality are mostly not pornographic so I will be very curious to read your
book and learn about this.

We released this title on VHS through Re:Voir. Though it is not available on
DVD, his film UN NAVET is on our DVD called “Maurice Lemaitre: Imaginary Films”
as well as on our VOD platform: Re:Voir Online.

Hi Gabriele,
Here are two suggestions:
Schmelzdahin: Stadt in Flammen [sound of a man groaning while hitting his
chest in rhythm]
Robert Nelson: I don’t have the title but maybe Mark Toscano can help! -- the
soundtrack is feet scraping the bottom of a bathtub. It’s a short film, maybe

Hey Moira,
Of course one can develop it oneself in a darkroom or at a cooperative lab like
Mono in Brooklyn.
But for a commercial lab I recommend Metropolis. They recently set up their own
wet lab and they develop, scan and print all formats. They get a lot of super-8
and results are great.

Of course not, which is why we did not include that film in our DVD.

Dear Elena,
In many cases we do rent screening files in case of digital projection, but we
do not have Hurry Hurry.
I suggest you contact the New York Filmmakers’ Coop. They can probably digitize
their print and provide it to you. If not then maybe Light Cone can provide it.

Dear friends,
I just heard that the French filmmaker Jakobois passed away yesterday, but I
can’t find any information.
Is it true? Does anyone have any news? He was only 72.
Thanks, Pip

I recommend helium drives with less friction between the platters. Good
