Got my new wintv pvr-350 working for recording, after some hiccups. In the
process I had to upgrade from 2.6.3 to 2.6.9 kernels; luckily the directfb cvs
contained a new kernel patch for the matrox crtc2 stuff so I was able to get
everything back in its working state (phew!).

the only file you should edit is your local_conf.py,
everything else would mean hacking freevo itself.
Freevo's configuration is done via freevo_config.py and
local_conf.py, where freevo_config.py contains the defaults
and should not be changed.
Put your changes in your local_conf.py

this isn't a good idea. Since 1.5.2 has now a bug because of changed

with mplayer giving jittery sound before actually crashing out when I

as freevo still acts mainly as a TV receiving / recording solution, I post
it here. I thought getting TV working as perfect as a TV usually does
shouldn't be a big problem, but after investing some time I now know it

I have a similiar issue with my freevo setup. Turns out it is an
issue with the AGP subsystem. Have you tried running just X?
