Any time you open a window, a bug might show up. (grin)

give them a release.
Thomas, I think just get 1.0 out the door and in your own time, switch
over to slim dx or what ever alternative you choose and call it 1.1.

Hi Yohandy,
Switching between windows shouldn't have any effect on the game.
Although, if you find out that doing so does increase the number of
crashes that could prove useful and something I might need to know.

Hi Scott and all,
Yeah, I've pretty much tracked down the causes of these crashes, but
there really isn't an easy solution to the problem. The solution will
require quite a bit of research and programming to solve.
First, we have Managed DirectX. At the time I began using it I was not

Hi Rich and all,
The error message you just posted below is a well known bug in Managed
DirectX itself. It has actually nothing to do with my game, but is a
problem with Microsoft's Managed DirectX API. As they have officially
stopped developing Managed DirectX there is little hope they will fi
Hi Yohandy,
Yes, this is a well documented problem. I have an idea what causes the
problem, but don't have a very good solution for it. What seams to be
crashing the game is the ability to interupt the game's speech. When I
removed this feature the bug went away, and the game runs fine. However
I've never messed around with the settings, and I still had an error.

Hi,
Since this thread appeared, I might have been able to recreate this problem
once just now. On the second level, room 5, the program crashed and kicked me
out. An error reporting box might have come up, but I Just happen to hit enter
at that exact time. So I was immediately dumped back to my

Yup, I'm seeing it here but can't consistently reproduce it. Happens
randomly on two systems, one of which is a totally fresh install of
Windows and all the .net and directx stuff just a few days old, so
that shouldn't have too many quirks yet.
I've refrained from posting about it until now becau
Every once in a while when I play mota, I get the normal windows error
message telling me that mota has stopped working. Anyone else getting this?
