inbox I just realized. The hl multiplayer game is called sven coop. It is
a mod though. I believe it was independently designed but was suposedly
co-opted by steam. However, I haven't figured out yet how to make it work

Hi all -
My CS:S server just crashed but I'm not sure what caused it. Here's the last
messages from the log:

I was in ook's boat too. I played oz deathmatch for a very long time,
which, as most of you know, is very fast paced.
When source came out, I still couldn't stand waiting to respawn, so a
laptop next to my gaming pc helped a lot.
Then as I got more into the game, I started to spectate after I wa
You can bind the server to a specific ip on a multihomed server by
passing it as an argument at the command line:
srcds -game cstrike +ip 1.2.3.4 +port...
or
hlds -game cstrike +ip 1.2.3.4 +port

By multiple ips you mean you have a single interface with multiple
subinterfaces? In that case use ifconfig (in linux) to check which ips you
own. Then run hlds with the command line +ip 123.456.789.123 providing that
that ip is owned by the system that you are reffering to.

In the comamndline/startline add +ip xx.xx.xx.xx and you may also add +port
x if you want a port other than the default.

Ook my friend.
It is this round thing that has made CS so popular.
In deathmatch you die and respawn ... No consequences at all. Nothing to
loose or risk.
In CS the excitement is much higher because it is like real life. There is
risk. You could die and have to wait an entire round to play again.
Could you (and others) please stop spamming the list with these replies.
The virus itself is bad enough, we don't need an entire thread around
each one.
Thanks,
Maarten
