They might also use -pingboost in their run command to get it that low in-game. Try -pingboost 1 in your run command, then in cfg sys_ticrate 1000. Try -pingboost 3 in your run command, then in cfg sys_ticrate 500. Pingboost 3 will increase CPU usage, but has the most improvement in actual perfo

What? Never give ssh to anyone? If they're not part of the wheel (freebsd) or root (Linux) groups, then there's no harm as long as it's their server, running in their home dir and they're chrooted to it and can't get above their home directory. This error is caused by running an old version of the "steam" binary. The md5 of the current version is: 052614675ad06e54c3c9a5ec63ab94b0 steam Verify you have the most recent one and that you are running it (check for other "steam" binaries you may have placed elsewhere in your path directories)
