Ok, i found the problem.
I use a customised botprofile.db. If the botcount < 20 and > 8 then this
error display at server startup.
vconnmgr.cpp (175) : Assertion Failed: 0 != netadrRemote.GetIP()
vconnmgr.cpp (176) : Assertion Failed: 0 != netadrRemote.GetPort()
In order of this error the server

There's still the odd bit broke like -steamport from the last update. We've
got 2 or 3 servers that won't go secure until they fix it (assuming thats
what it is as it fixed it the first time).

Thats weird. Are you sure its updated and everything? Because it should be
default to secure. Unless you did something in your server.cfg

AMD Athlon 3000+
Debian Sarge, Kernel 2.6.11, glibc 2.3.2.ds1-22
The CS1.6 on the same server run fine in secure mode.
The console output:
