you please file a report by executing the following in a terminal while booted
into a Ubuntu repository kernel (not a mainline one) via:
ubuntu-bug linux

I have also updated to A19 and my E6420 still will not properly resume
from sleep. My output from "sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo
dmidecode -s bios-release-date" is A19 06/24/2013.

I updated my 6420's BIOS from A08 to A19 and found the same behavior --
if the computer goes to sleep the X session accepts no mouse clicks,
though the mouse pointer will still move.
I can ctrl-alt-f6 (or f4 etc.) and get to a text console, log in, sudo,
kill the active X session and log into the

update is available for your BIOS (A19). If you update to this, does it
change anything?
If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of
