Steve, I have a KR-2 built to plans except I used the Diehl wing skins. These use the RAF48 airfoil. The total wing span is 23 feet 6 inches. Using the wing skins, the front and rear wood spars are extended using the 16-inch fiberglass spar sandwich in the Diehl kit; this is the same material

Steve, The extended wing is the KR2S design. The spars are built with webbing on the front and back where the KR2 only has it on one side. To extend the wings you would have to change the spars to KR2S design and basically build a new wing. I had the same objective as you and am putting KR2S w
