Binary package hint: digikam
I have 2 collections :
- ~/Images/apn
- ~/Images/apn-reflex
If I add the apn one first, then I have an error message when adding
apn-reflex : "you already added a collection which contains apn-reflex"
(my own translation), while apn-reflex is not
For the moment I have a script which mogrify (with imagemagick) all the
photo not already mogrified (which I keep in a textfile). Having the
option in digikam would be great !

I always take photo in "best" quality (in general quality 98~99) in camera
preferences, and recompress it on the computer. In that way, my recompressed
photo has a size between 500Kb and 2Mb (depending of the complexity of the
photo) : the compression is "quality-based".

trash", it opens a dialog "moving to trash:/...", but never it never
succeeds : I closed the dialog after 3 minutes for moving ONE file to
trash, it doesn't seem to work…

"on the fly operations (only for JPEG)", and provides an option "convert
to a lossless format (PNG)". It should allow to change jpeg quality (90%
for example) directly in the importation dialog…
