Just a note to add to John’s advice re printing –
It can be useful to “Print to PDF” (if you have it configured), since it is
then simple to just look at the single PDF file to see what is available, and
print one or a few pages.
I do that with many “printable” things, not just in Legacy Family
Brian's suggestion will work (I just did it). Three things:
- searching for wildcard=* will find everything including blank fields
(you entire database!). Use contains and use a single space character
(presumes you have a space somewhere in the note)
- Setting up the print - I did not
As my hubby says "dinosaurs" . At least as we age and don't always
keep up with the new tech stuff, we kinda feel that way!
The staff spends most of their time on Facebook, but there are beta testers
and ex-staffers who are posting here. Your questions will get answered by
someone who knows!

I have not tried this but you might be able to search using the
detailed search tab for anyone whose Research and General Notes are not
equal to blank to create a list of all those who have notes, then use
Options > Print on the results screen. When setting up the output select
only Research
In Legacy 9 is there a way to print out all your general and research notes ?
