I have attempted TNG with complete installations about three times during the
last several years. The host I used and the software author gave great
support, but my skills fall short. It is a beautiful system, just not one that
I can master.

Hi how do you use the GoDaddy site? For your personal use? Do you get
responses from other viewers that helps with your genealogy? Does it allow for
collaboration? Thanks!

I have had my website (created with the Legacy software and hosted by GoDaddy)
for many years. I get responses, questions, and comments literally all the

I get good response on Google searches, meaning I run into my own research all

That's really the way to do it. I know people who have had problems with a
"collaborative" effort where others were able to add or edit information on
the website - things really got messed up!

Hah! That's how I hit upon the fact that a cousin had posted my data
on his website - a rare name in the family showed up in a search

Hi I don't mind sharing my family info and hard work with strangers (even
though I have funded it all too!). It would be a nice feature if there was a
way to credit the researcher in an obvious way on the various sites that allow
GEDcom's to be uploaded. Uploading living info isn't good without
Agreed. It is an excellent program, but requires excellent computer skills to
have it do and show what you want. Darrin was extremely helpful, but that
wasn't enough.

While considering whether My Heitage is "worth it" and wondering about

The FHC on 20th in Bellevue WA also has it.

McAfee is well known for 'exaggerating' - nothing wrong with the link / site
for the handout.
It's well worth getting over your aversion for videos to watch this one - I
hate videos as well but this was worth it. Watch it on your desktop if you

Sometimes AV programs are a little overly aggressive. Avast had no problem

Obviously, you have never been held for ransom, or you would never go to a site
about which you have been warned. Many times, the site is trustworthy, but a
hacker has stolen the link to the trusted website! McAfee picks those up too.
It is one of the most common sources of being infected.
