What? You should post messages to this mailing list in english, if you
can. Otherwise, try to find someone which can translate them.
Thomas is a personal friend of ours (from the EJE orchestra!), who at
last ('eindelijk') tried lily. He didn't imagine us having so many
non dutch speaking users.
Oh, that's ok. If his question has some interest, why do not translate
it and post here? Maybe somebody else could be interested

Tablature notation is used for notating music for plucked string instruments. It
notates pitches not by using note heads, but by indicating on which string and fret a
note must be played.
Seemingly a minor matter, but troublesome, producing wrong thinking, and leading to
mistakes already.
How can I get xdvi and XFree working on
windows?
Every time I try xdvi it says "Can't open
display" and startx does't work either even though all required packages are
installed. Please help!
Before this becomes something other than the trivial pursuit that it is,
let's lay it to rest once and for all.
Tablature is notation. Every dictionary and encyclopaedia I can access,
physical and online agrees. Music notation on staves with noteheads, in

As per the install instructions:
Gcc-3.0.4
Gcc 3.0.4, is a bit flaky. Try downgrading to 2.95.x, or if
you're adventurous (see below), upgrading to 3.1.x.
(I suggest to use GCC 3.2)

Hello all,
After installing 1.6.4 for Cygwin, I am noticing some weird behavior.
I am writing a score for string orchestra. Lilypond version 1.6.0-1 was
able
to fit 2 systems on a single letter-sized page. Version 1.6.4 can only fit
one system on each page. Since there are only 4-5 staves
