The lag is definitely there, yes, even with 16 GB of RAM (I also have an iMac mid-2011). It is much worse in Nuance voices than in Alex, which means staying with Alex is the quickest fix. This hasn't bothered me, so I assume I've learned to tolerate it in Alex, but it's absurd with high-qualit

This lag issue is a bbig deal breaker for me. I won't upgrade until something is done about it. I mean, c'mon apple! I don't care about fancy new features, just don't screw up the basics. a sluggish response would drive me nuts - I'd probably go back to windows rather than put up with that. On

Hi all I can tell you that during the developer previews and public betas the lag has been always there somewhat. I did both a clean install and an update on a secondary partition on my internal disk with the same results. This was on a late 2011 Macbook Pro 13 with 4 GB of RAM. It's tolerable
