As it was explained to me by a CC owner at Lake Tahoe some years back, a “true”
CC needs a “soak” for a while before it can be put in the water for actual use.
This is apparently a clearly defined process where you put the hull in the

From what I could see (admittedly fairly cursory lookover) it was a few
hull and deck boards, some minor stuff in the passenger area that was a
little ratty. So not really boatbuilding kind of detail but I get your
point. The mahogany would be spendy but not too hard to shape and
replace.
I need to learn a little about tinting for our gym. Its in a converted space in
what was an old bank. I don't know how old the building is, I'd guess late
1800s or early 1900s. I suspect there isn't much insulation and it's tough to
keep it cool in the summer. Shades over the windows helped but
haha exactly!

put into long term storage until 2016 when he was a released and decided
to sell the car.

Having woodworking skills most likely helps but I don't think that's the same
as having boatbuilding skills. That said, I have plenty of projects parked up
for lengthy time, not because I can't do them but because I'm just
procrastinating.

There's a guy I met who has one of these (or similar) at his house
parked under a carport, belongs to his buddy who is "restoring" it.
(Max knows this guy too) Looked somewhat rough but complete but doable
although I'm not sure the buddy has the woodworking skills. he was a

audio in the W126 and similar vintage cars, the Continental head units are
fantastic with modern features like Bluetooth and look period correct - even
more so than the Beckers, if you ask me. I’ve had several of

Anyone got access to CarFax or something other than Autocheck?
I ask because I’m trying to sort out the history on this 2008 ML550. Autocheck
shows it as a theft and total loss in 2013. The NICB shows it as clean and
clear. The seller says the title is clear.
