There’s no avoiding the tinworm on W210, the thing to do is find a nice
rust-free example and plan on driving it until it expires. You could probably
be proactive and have it rustproofed or use one of those DIY kits just to slow
things down, but it’s pretty much inevitable w

it until you don’t want to drive it anymore and then unload it to some bottom
feeder. I’ve got a decent 99E320 I’ll sell you, no rust, looks pretty good

For those of us living where salt is used in the winter, is the W210 just best
avoided, even if one is sourced from a more rust-free area?
My W123 and W116 were pretty much rust free when I got them but preventing rust
while also using them in the wintertime seems to be a lost cause.
