Good Morning-
Recently I purchased a large Campo meteorite for my
collection and have been recommended to occasionally
use Ballistol on it to avoid corrosion.
I have not been able to find it locally in any gun,
sporting goods or hardware stores. I did find a couple
sources on the internet
Hi Ruben,
Thanks for the pictures. We will have to call you Mr Glorieta! Just

Hi Bob,
Actually, my part only appears on the Nova ScienceNow website as
a web video; the main story is about Apophis, and although meteorites
are obviously tangentially related to asteroid impacts, the linkage
wasn't direct enough

Mike,
It doesn't matter where you live, Ballistol can be nearly impossible to
find in any retail store. Since you tried your local gun shops without
success, you may have to bite the bullet (sorry - I couldn't resist) and
buy it online.
Ballistol has thousands of uses. Check out

dunnoh, if it's helpful, but perhaps it's cheaper to buy from German ebay.
Shipping rates seems to be cheaper, some sellers will ship worldwide,

Hi Frederic
The maximum cost to list any item at any price is $4.80. The real money is in
selling of the item for Ebay. The fees would be almost $200,000 for Ebay and
$377,000 for PayPal. Here is the fee calculator I mentioned on this same
subject earlier in the week.
Hi List. If I am out of line here I sincerely apologize to any and all I

is something I'm missing here except my wallet!

What a great interview and story on the Nickel test from Jim Kriegh!

some day I hope I meet Jim Kriegh too.
Its great to know that some people have their first find going along with a
knowledgeable meteorite expert, isn't it?
This happened to me too.
