Did anyone see the article about the poor response by WA fans to our
game in Perth.
They are saying that 9,000 pre sold tickets to a pre season friendly is
disappointing, having thought that that the game would sell out.
I'm sure there will be a large walk up crowd but even if there isn't,
I'd be happy with 9,000 especially when you think their average home
game gate in the regular season is only 7,000.
I suspect that they will drop the prices this week to try and attract a
bigger crowd and that should ensure a larger walk up crowd on Friday
evening after work.

Got to be Thick Mick's fault eh Marcus? Sack him - can't even sell out his
pre-season friendlies!

also consider that even when we've played pre-season friendlies in
England the crowds have rarely got above a few thousand.

Its confirmed now, has been on Sky Sports News.
I spotted it on a Newsnow Link.
Also strong links to us signing Surman from Southampton in the next day or
two. As well as Zubur and a Croatian Midfielder (I wonder
They are now reporting that Southampton have accepted our offer for
Surman. I don't know anything about him at all but he's highly rated.

Looks like the centre of midfield was a massive priority for MM, it took
him a while to work that out didn't it??

but when are we going address the defence. We need some pace and
experience in there. I doubt we're going to get Mancienne (would be
nice though) . Craddock is back-up at best. Stearman may step up. Big

They should stop calling them 'friendlies' and advertising the battling
midfield. That'd get the crowds in.

does anyone actually think Owen would come to Wolves? If so, what would
be the number one pairing up front considering we'd have SEB, Doyle,
Owen, Keogh, Iwelumo, Vokes,

To be honest with you Marcus, I think Owen should be flattered teams like
Wolves are supposedly interested in him.
In his last 4 seasons at Newcastle he has played 71 games scoring 26 goals.
Not a bad record when he gets on the Park! However, the frequency of him
being injured the older he
